well at least dis thing work on my laptop..been trying to update my blog for the past few days but dunno wats wrong wif my pc...the cursor refuse to go to the text box for me to type..haiz anw lemme update some things dat has been happening
mendaki was ok last sat..only the boys turned up for class..so i told them dat im like a rose surrounded by thorns..n they dun get wat im saying..haha so i haf to explain it to them literally.. anw i received an early teacher's dat present fr one of my students also..was really touched wen fahmie(the student), came to my table n said "cher, for u..happy teacher's day!" :-)
then as usual, me n kisha went out for early dinner after teaching..we went to delifrance at TM to eat n headed to bugis to get sm stuff..went to bugis village n both of us got dis bag..it looks like a projectshop bag which i had..but dis one is way cheaper man..hehe then after dat, lepak at coffeebean for a while..talked abt things, i think we keep each other's secrets well..so its nice sharing my joy n hardship wif someone i can confide in..n i didnt noe coffeebean's brownie tastes damn good!!haha
anw nasz told me dat he saw me at bugis mrt..was chatting wif him at msn yesterday wen he asked if i were at bugis the day before...so i told him yeah, i was wif a fren..he said he's nt sure if it was really me, dats y he didnt approach me..anw we havent met in person n he doesn't haf my hp num also..hehe but i told him he shld jus come up n say hi to me, like wat my another fren fr friendster did last time..then he said he was paiseh la, wateva la..but i didnt notice anyone who looked like him..dats y i told nasz dat most of the time, im partially blind..didnt notice ppl around me..hehe
and i went to help out at adlin's bro's wedding on sunday..she called me up the day b4, saying that she's short of manpower..i was contemplating whether i wanna go at first, cos i barely know her n her family..only got to noe her thru hasni..then hasni 'sweet-talked' me to come n help.. haha so me, hasni, effi and ifwah n adlin's relatives help out wif the kendarat thingy..it wasnt dat bad after all..at least i noe ppl like hasni n effi there..but it was damn tiring sia..so long never kendarat, so i didnt expect it to be so tiring..hehe

i jus got home sia n im dead tired..thot wanna go hm straight after sch cos i had stomach cramps fr morning..but promised shaik to meet up wif him cos he wanna discuss wif me abt the insurance thingy..luckily my cramps subsided by then..anw i might be buying the insurance la.. need to keep my $$ somewhere safe..haha but i need to think carefully if im able to set aside 80 bucks per mth for it..
n met up wif aisah n zaky at paya lebar after dat..zaky had to leave earlier so me n aisah headed to bugis to go shopping..i bought a new pair of sandals n i lurve it..looks very girlish la but i like.. haha n i saw a really nice levi's bag, but then d price nt nice ah..hehe it costs like 119 bucks.. haiz i think its a bit too ex for a bag..i'll settle for smth else i guess
anw i told aisah abt dani aka faiz..like how he said he noes her n zaky..n i didnt noe he went to d same ngaji place as them..n i knew dani for like almost 2 yrs n i didnt noe dat..it was only yest wen dani surfed my friendster profile, he saw aisah in d pic..wat a small world..haha n faizal was all excited wif d fact dat me n dani knew each other..confirm kecoh @ their ngaji place.. cos dani told faizal dat he sorta likes dis girl fr nus (which was supposed to be me)..but faizal had no idea dat he was referring to me..so now he's making a big huu haa abt it..he kacau me like crazy jus now..crappy sia dat guy..i didnt even noe dat dani likes me in d first place..we never even meet in person seh.. then faizal said he's gonna plan a grp outg so dat me n dani can eventually meet up..haha well i think everybody's connected in dis world huh.

met up wif lil bro after sch cos he wanna buy his goalkeeper gloves..promised him dat i would buy them for him wen i got my pay..but didnt expect him to choose the one which cost 30 bucks!! i thot 30 bucks was ok for a pair of umbro gloves..but not to my mum..haha she freaked out wen my bro told her the price of it..she nag nag for a while but i told her dat im buying it as an early bday present for him also..only then, she stopped nagging..but come to think of it, i do pamper my lil bro wif all these material things..well he's my only lil bro wat, so if he dun manja wif me, he wanna manja wif who? my elder bro?errmm..he's too thrifty wif his $$ so i doubt he'll spend on us..haha

changed my blog skin to dis bright pink..sorta gives it a 'happy' look as compared to d black one last time..hehe i actually wanted to revamp my blog but there's a lot of hard work to go along wif..for starters, i need to understand the html language n all the crap terms they use..was supposed to get alfiah to teach me how to add pictures n all but rite now, there's other impt things to do..shld haf learn all dat b4 sch starts..but its ok, wen there's a will, there's a way
anw sch was pretty ok jus now..had a 2 hr lecture only n headed to orchard after dat wif aisah to haf our late lunch at far east..bought dis really nice charm bracelet too..thot i wud spent a lot jus now but i didnt..like i say, im contemplating if i shld really get the stuff which i wanted..i dunno wats wrong wif me but im finding it so sayang wanna spend my $$ nowadays..gosh wats wrong wif me sia..suddenly become so thrifty??haha anw im getting my pay for mendaki tmr also.. so dats means more $$ coming my way ;-)

its a sunday n im slacking at home..gonna do some reading later to prepare for my singapore studies tutorial though its in 2 wks time..did my social work tutorial preparation yest n im so proud i did it way earlier..haha next week im only having my english tutorial but the week after will be packed wif my other four tutorials..dats y i need to make early preparations

shit sia...didnt get one of the tutorial slots which i wanted!! dat means my monday is gonna be packed on alternate weeks..fr 10 to 4pm..hate tutorials in the morning cos im so nt a morning person..n its on a damn freaking monday..blues blues blues!! but im trying to look on the bright side..at least its only on alternate weeks..errmm, its nt working..im still feeling shitty abt dis!!
anw i went to watch 'collateral' wif effi jus now..quite a nice movie n tom cruise is still as cute as ever despite of his white hair..haha but its kinda violent, the shootings n all..but overall, its a pretty gd movie..been quite sm time since i last caught a movie..the last one was spiderman 2..sheesh
n it was raining quite heavily also..wen we reached orchard, it was still pouring cats n dogs..n effi didnt bring an umbrella..dunno y guys dun like to carry an umbrella along..i remembered one of my guy frens saying dat its nt macho to carry an umbrella..n i think dats pretty crappy..hehe so we both ended up a bit drenched wen we reached cineleisure

wo hen lei ah...jus came back fr sch n im super duper tired n hungry..eating kfc's cheese fries at the moment..*yum yum* anw sch was pretty tiring today..met aisah at clementi mrt ard 10 am to go 4 breakfast at mc donalds at the engineering block..its way cheaper there than d outside mc donalds..so ppl, if u wanna get the meals at a cheaper price, come to nus's mc donalds..hehe we went to photocopy our reading materials at the library..first time goin to the library ever since sch opened..so was a bit excited to c the newly renovated library..it was super cool n sophisticated..the changed the whole layout of the library..there's more lounges to hang out, furnished wif nice sofas..n d computers r all flat screen sia..haha so canggih
anw saw nuraini in sch last mon..she started wearing the tudung already..n she looked so sweet.. didnt recognise her at first but saw her hanging out wif shereen they all..hmm more of my frens wearing tudung now, which is gd..cos all gerls who wear tudung r sweet looking..like ME!!haha.. but i've know sm ppl who did d opposite also..fr wearing tudung, to taking it off n wearing skimpy clothes n started goin clubbing..shall nt mention d names here cos it's nt a gd thing la.. totally a diff transformation man..haiz

its still too early for me to go to sch..so thot of writing smth here..i only haf a 2 hr lecture later fr two to four..wat a waste of time traveling all the way to sch..haiz but i cant skip dis lect since its d first lecture..lets hope dis module is gonna be interesting but seriously, i doubt so..haha hafta take dis module cos its one of the uni's requirement to graduate..
i've been listening to the song alhamdulillah by too phat n yasin over n over again..it kinda grows on u wen u hear it..d lyrics make u pause a while n reflect whether u've done ur responsibilities as a muslim..im nt trying to sound like a staunch muslim here cos im nt..haha but once in a while, wen i listen to such songs, d feeling is jus therapeutic
btw, i've been reading dis book called 'secrets abt men every woman shld know', recommended by kisha..i mus say i learn quite a lot fr it..the author even discussed the 6 biggest mistakes women make wif men..rite now, i've read till chap 5, which is 'secrets abt men n sex'..moving on to the next chapter, 'men's top 20 sexual turn-offs'..which is gonna be interesting i guess.. haha

nthg nice on tv now..most channels showing the olympic games..guess i'll watch vcd after dis.. anw had mendaki jus now n today was pretty ok..gave d kids a test so d class was under control.. me n kisha headed to kfc after dat cos both of us were famished as usual..haha oh yah, was halfway thru my meal wen dis guy whom i've got to noe fr friendster approached our table.. he was asking if my name was mariana..n i was like "erm..yeah.." cos i realli didnt recognise him since he didnt put his picture on friendster, we chatted on msn a few times..wen he told me his name, i was still clueless as to which one is him..haha then he mentioned his email add n dat was wen i remembered him..cos his email address sounds funny..haha didnt expect anybody whom i've nt met in person fr friendster to approach me like dat..he mus be realli sure dat it was me then :-) imagine someone coming up to u in d streets n telling u dat he/she noes u..wen u dun even recognise them..pretty freaky..already my face looks so familiar among the chinese men..haha

reached hm ard 12 plus jus now..there was a slight traffic jam at the second link..lots of vehicles returning to spore, which was quite unexpected cos i thot ppl will only return tmr since its a public holiday..anw i drove for a while jus now..not really for a while la..its close to a 100 km.. fr d kampung to the machap stopover..n its always nice to drive along the msia expressway..d long stretch n wide roads..i drove at 140 km/h w/o realising it..didnt feel dat i was goin dat fast though..wanted to step on d accelerator further but my mum was already kanchiong at the back..haha anw there might be speed traps also, but there was none jus now..there's no way im able to drive dat fast in spore..so make use of the opp while u can..hehe
anw was in msn jus now chatting to a few ppl as usual..namely naszreen, ash, shereen, amir, faz(ash's fren)...was chatting wif nasz abt how i dun haf a candidate yet to get married to..dats wen he started 'promoting' effi n ash to me..then d next thing i knew, ash added nasz n faz into our conversation..all of them were fr tuas fs anw..n ash started telling them nt to mess ard wif me cos im 'effi's gal'...dat guy is so merepek man..fancy spreading such rumours.. oh yah, they were commenting abt effi getting the award also..like they did all the hard work n got nthg in the end n effi gets all the credit(in a joking manner of coz..effi, if u're reading dis, they didnt mean those things they said)..haha anw effi already told me dat he dun think he deserved the award also..cos he's nt the only one involved in dat rescue..haiz politics @ work ;-) alritez, gtg get sm sleep now !ZzzzZzzZ

tiring day 2dae..jus came back fr town cos i accompanied kisha to a talk organised my her sch at phoenix hotel..had mendaki b4 dat, so im feeling damn lethargic..anw goin to balik kampung tmr morning..its jus gonna be a one day thing cos dad n bro gotta work the next day
i cant help it but to feel amused abt smth..yest i wen out wif aisah to far east coz she wanna get some stuff fr there..then we were in dis shop looking at clothes..the owner of the shop recognise us cos we always patron his shop also..then a middle-age chinese man, who is the shop owner's fren came into the shop..he was telling me dat i looked familiar..so i was like "really? where haf u seen me b4?" then he said he saw me at world trade centre b4..as far as im concern, i've never stepped to WTC for almost a yr seh..so i told him dat he got the wrong person..but he insisted dat i looked very familiar..so dat was one incident..then jus now at the talk at the seminar room, dis chinese guy was looking at me..according to kisha, he was studying my face carefully..n i thot he was looking at kisha seh, who noes d guy is her lecturer or wat..so fr d corner of my eyes, i can see nthg much..then he approached me n said dat i looked familiar n asked for my name.. after doing so, he said he mite haf mistaken me for someone else..but i looked like someone he knew..hmm isnt dat a lil scary?? having two chinese middle-age men coming up to u n said dat u looked very familiar in two consecutive days?? i was telling kisha dat i'll c if anyone comes up to me tmr n said d same thing..if there is, confirm, my face is d kind yg muka bersepah..haha

in the middle of preparing my teaching materials for mendaki dis sat..gotta mark the kids' composition n go thru some maths problem sums..well it goin to be a long holiday dis weekend.. im goin back to my kampung on sunday morning..thot of watching the fireworks at esplanade on sunday night but i guess dats nt possible tho..told the gurls mebbi we shld go on the next sunday instead since they're displaying the fireworks till aug 15..so we'll c how dat goes
im gonna accompany aisah to the M1 shop later cos she wanna change her mobile plan..n metro is also having a 20% discount storewide so mebbi i could get sm new tops for sch :-) talking abt sch, d new semester starts next tues..at last after a really long break..imagine having holidays fr late april till early aug..dats like freaking 4 mths..n what have i done thruout dat time? nothing but slacking n goin out..haha i was telling hasni dat i shld join him to do some volunteer work wif 4PM..he's involved in dis mentoring thingy since last time..i thot if i get involved in volunteering, at least it would reflect nicely in my resume wen im looking for a job in d future..esp since im majoring in social work in nus..i'll c if i can find a slot to fit in some volunteer work wen sch starts

well i jus reached home n look at the time..its 2am!! went to the 'awallah dondang' performance @ SP..it was pretty ok after all..not dat draggy as the 'pentas pujangga' last time..alfiyah was one of the performers n she did great i mus say..she had to come up wif some impromptu actions n adlib since there were some technical problems, like the curtain of the stage refuse to open..haha dat was funny seh..i esp like the dikir barat n nasyid performance..the DK was realli entertaining coz all the guys were so 'selamba' n they make their performance funny n informal..then the nasyid was not bad bcos i was checking out this guy who was performing..n i must say "ohh la la.." haha..he's damn cute man..saw him upclose after the performance n he's no doubt, super duper cute..n kisha was head over heels wif him until she even wanna take photo wif him..but in the end, she was too shy to do dat..haha
n of coz, i drove today :-) thank god d journey to n fro was smooth..guess wat my bro told me was true after all..b4 driving, u mus always remember to baca bismillah or the doa naik kereta.. no matter how in a hurry u are, always dun forget to do dat..since i dun memorise d doa naik kenderaan, i juz baca bismillah :-)..n true enuf, i felt more relaxed than usual while driving.. cos i remembered dat there was one occasion where i didnt baca d doa n i felt so kanchiong while driving..until i swerved the car abruptly jus to beat the blinking green arrow..dat was a scary experience cos the car was in high speed n i felt as if the car was abt to overturn.. so mus always bear in mind to baca bismillah b4 d starr of the journey..n dat reminds me of ashwandi's request to get him the doa naik kereta cos he emailed me asking for it.. if im not wrong, there r a few versions of doa naik kereta n my dad used to put it in our old car..mebbi i shld ask him to get the sticker which has the doa on it n paste in the car..easier for me to refer to wen i wanna drive
anw after the performance, we went to simpang bedok to haf supper cos all of us were famished..i ate fish n chips, which was super huge..but i managed to finish it la hehe..then i hafta be a part-time chauffeur for the day n sent 4 of my frens home..sent non home first since she's staying in kembangan..next was kisha, followed by ain since both staying in tamp.. n lastly, aisah..stayg at sengkang..jauh seh satu2 tinggal..then back to tamp..dats y i reached hm at 2am.. but it was fun la..driving wif frens cos they all giler seh, luckily i hafta pay attn on the road, if not i'll join in their crap..haha n of coz, i proved to my mum dat im capable of driving safely since im back in one piece..haha so she has no reasons not to trust me n let me drive alone the future ;-)
